Dmytro Shymkiv: Net profit of Darnitsa in 2020 amounted to UAH 4.3 billion

The pharmaceutical company “Darnitsa” in 2020 received a net profit from the sale of products in the amount of UAH 4.3 billion, which is 33.7% more than a year earlier.

The chairman of the Darnitsa Group board of directors Dmytro Shymkiv said that about 10% of its income “Darnitsa” has directed to projects for the digital re-equipment of the company and the development of new drugs. He also said that over the past 5 years the plant has produced more than 45 new drugs, in the development of which Darnitsa Group has invested 35.3 million euros. The total amount invested in research and development over 10 years has reached about 200 million euros.

Shymkiv noted that the pharmaceutical concern continues the process of large-scale transformation, which began in 2019. After the rebranding, the company defined new strategic goals and values and changed its business philosophy.

The Darnitsa Group is now focused on building an international pharmaceutical brand, leading the way in the production of comprehensive generics and digitalizing 100 per cent of its business processes. Developing production and expanding the list of manufactured drugs, the management of the concern concentrates on the treatment of the most common diseases in Ukraine.

The plant manages to develop new drugs through cooperation with other international pharmaceutical companies, as well as through its own research. The Darnitsa Group annually spends more than 40% of the total investment money for the development of new drugs.

In addition to dozens of ready-made drugs on the pharmaceutical market, more than 50 Darnitsa drugs are at various stages of development. Shymkiv is confident that they will be registered by 2023. Darnitsa Group, unlike its competitors in Ukraine, specializes in the production of drugs for the prevention and treatment of diseases of the cardiovascular and nervous systems, as well as drugs that eliminate pain symptoms.

Dmytro Shymkiv explained what his optimistic statements regarding the development of the industry are based on. According to official data, the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market is entering the global pharmaceutical industry market as a rapidly developing one. Ruslan Timofeev from “Adventures Lab” about criteria to select promising projects for investment Adventures Lab’s founder Ruslan Tymofieiev (Ruslan Timofeev) speaks about his professional journey from a successful startup in the health and beauty industry to one of the most promising Ukrainian venture investment funds with more than $15 million invested in startups. According to the investor, he started his first business being a university student at the age of 17-18. He started to grow a community in social networks promoting such topics as self-improvement and how to be a motivated entrepreneur. With the growth of the community profits grew smoothly reaching more than 2000 dollars a week. Ruslan Tymofieiev says he focused on affiliate marketing making money with the attracted clients. This was a good start to think about his own business project. Together with partners, Ruslan started a CPA network, he was working on marketing strategies and gaining new consumers. A crisis came in 2016. Because of an economic collapse, one of the partners of the project informed the team he was going to get out of the business. Checking Account vs. Trust The checking account itself is not a trust. A trust is a legal agreement under which a trustee manages assets provided by the grantor for trust beneficiaries. The checking account for a trust just holds trust assets. You should also determine what is the minimum opening deposit as well as the minimum balance requirements and fees. Also, banks will often expect a copy of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Request for Employer Identification Number (Form SS4). You can apply for a tax identification number with the IRS online. Account Records After you have set up the account, keep the checking account documentation with the original trust agreement. The grantor or trustee should also add the account information, including the bank name and account number, to the trust’s asset list. Alternative Option If you are the grantor under a trust, you can convert an existing checking account to a trust account as part of your living trust. You will need to bring your Certification of Trust and or the trust agreement itself. The bank will have you complete a new signature card for the account, and the account will be held in your name “as trustee,” for the trust. The bank will also require a tax identification number for the trust. Generally, in the case of a living trust, this will consist of your social security number.
